JULIUS FRANCO DIAS
VAMPIRE – 98
He has seen a lot of cruelty in his life, and the disregard for basic morals makes him sick. You wouldn’t think so knowing his profession, or the fact of the things he has done, but his integrity and moral construct are extremely notable and beautiful.
Julius is the big boss of a prostitution ring, involving girls of various ages, species, nationalities, and other things. Most of those outside, and even inside, this business have no idea that he is THE big boss. They only know he is the boss’s right hand man, and when ‘the boss’ says to ‘take care of something’, it is well known he is talking to Julius. This boss that everyone thinks is the real guy, is actually just a front for Julius, to keep respect from the cruel beasts that most of his employees are. There are set rules from the boss, and everyone follows them unless they want to be taken care of by Julius which will not end nicely at all. This front guy was put in place for Julius’s protection (legally, ethically, and for his chance to do as he needs sometimes) and the guy knows of Julius’s true nature and reasons for what is going on, and this front guy, is actually a federal agent, while not the most straight edged, high morale guy, understands the importance of the business.
The business, as Julius has set it and its true reasons (only known to him, most/some of the girls, and his front man) are these:
Most of the prostitutes in his specific ‘company’ of sorts need this. It gets them money, most of them don’t mind or actually enjoy this life, and it keeps them off the streets. You see, most of these girls are sought after by gang leaders, are witnesses to crimes, victims of crimes, or were poor and doing prostitution before hand (but getting WAY less money, protection, and business) and he does it to actually protect these women. You see, there are rules that his men, and the customers must abide by unless they want serious and vicious consequences. The women are to have 50% of their profits, but the other 50% are to come to him. They think he uses it for his own reasons and to pay the men, but hat is only 20% of the 50% that is “his”. The other 30% goes to helping whatever families the girls had or have before they came to him, and for their own personal comfort and safety. You see, the place they are located (in many different places as it has severely expanded now) is a nice sort of home/house where the ladies can be safe, clean, and well taken care of, unlike most other such houses of prostitution. In fact, his is the damn best there is. Women often beg to be in his. They get more business, are hurt and abused less, and get more perks for them and their families. The ladies are NOT to be hit, abused, or pushed to do ANY act they see unfit for their standards. The men under him MUST NOT look for ‘attention’ from the ladies, unless explicitly allowed because of a possible true romantic connection that has surfaced while knowing one another. But then they must not get money for it, and it has to be an act of actual love. His public reasons are these: the women do their job better, and earn more money when they aren’t being beaten or pushed into an act they don’t want to do. The men of his should not mix pleasure with business, as it makes for sloppy work, and possible severe consequences. His real reasons are to protect the girls from anything they don’t want, and to keep the men that are not so high on morals still loyal to him, and unknowing of the true reasons behind the company. [He needed ruthless men for protecting the girls, holding his interests at heart, and for his own protection, and most ruthless men don’t have honor or morals as to not believing in prostitution.]
Whenever a man did try to hurt the girls, or make them do other things – the girls would notify him. And he would make sure that those … customers, would no longer be able to spread such cruelty again. He made sure that ALL followed his rules, and he was the enforcer and could be so, because of his cover with the front guy.
However, later on, some of his men, and the “boss” were trying to reform the rules behind Julius’s back and gain a foothold so that once they killed him, there would be no protection for him. (More information on this down after the main section of connection to Jennifer!)
CONNECTION TO JENNIFER?
He is her FATHER. Yes, a dead vampire does have sex, and he had it with her mother, who was a fairy, but once deciding to leave the kingdom just to see the world, but still come home (then met Julius and another man so she left for good) was banished and her wings clipped, earning the name of Pixie. They had a child, luckily having had a pixie daughter, instead of one who had any vampire qualities, as he wanted for his daughter to have a normal life in some regards. Truth be told, he loved her. Her mother however, was a cruel woman, and a prostitute as well. She didn’t care about her child, and wanted to be with the other guy – not Julius. Before Julius could do anything, protect his beautiful daughter, or help her. She stole her away and disappeared. She took care of her daughter for the first few years of her life, but Jen quickly learned to take care of herself. Her ‘father’ or who she thought was her father all this time (and still does) and her mother had a son her brother (well half, but she doesn’t know) and again, neither cared. They wanted money. They sold Jennifer once she was 12, into a human trafficking circle, where she was raped, given no good quarters, but at least, had a little freedom to go outside the compound she was held in, but not too far, and knew she would be found. That was how she took care of her brother, who their parents had abandoned. She kept saving her food for him, and getting weak. This caused the bosses to not want her, so held an auction for her sale. That was how he found her, and bought her. She was so torn, devoid of innocence, but Julius has saved her, and her brother, but the boy couldn’t live with them, not with those around who didn’t know that a) he was the boss and b) would be suspicious of his taking a little boy in. The problem was, the only way to protect her (because when trying to hold her up in an apartment somewhere and help her, he was found out) he was forced to make her continue sexual affairs, but this time he protected her and made sure that she didn’t have to do much, and had the least customers, since the ‘boss’ was the only one with access to knowing the real hours of the customers and the amount the girls were paid. He hated having his own daughter have to be in such a thing, but he did it for her, not out of wanting her in that. It hurt him, but was better than the alternative. (SEE BELOW FOR REASONS WHY SHE ENDED UP NOT PROTECTED AS WELL AS HE THOUGHT!)
Jennifer was a prostitute in his company, and for some reason, had been treated horribly. So, why, if he had rules against such things (and punishments so severe that extremely protected these rules), did she end up with very horrible conditions? Only paid /up to/ 20% of her profits, beaten, used. Well, as mentioned before, the men (some) were taking matters into their own hands with a handful of the women. Although no one knows of Julius’s true connection to Jennifer, not even his front man, for her own protection, they could tell there was something there. They figured it was his special whore – one he took pleasure in. The actual ‘boss’ as most of them, even Jennifer believed, had decided to take her for his own. He would abuse her, rape her, and do horrible things. He said he’d kill her if she told Julius or anyone, and he’d find her if she ran. She knew she had to do anything to keep getting money for her brother who wouldn’t last without Julius’s help and her profits, no matter how small they had seemed to become as time went on (due to the men’s extra agendas of getting more money for themselves) and she knew the type of men they were, and what they could do, so kept quiet. It was close to time to keep Julius, even if they didn’t have all the people on their side or even most, actually, but they could work around it, knowing how to sway to their side (the extra money, and the new set of rules). But they made one mistake. They killed Jennifer’s brother to prove what they could do. That left her no reason to be alive, to do it anymore. She’d rather try to live than to live like they had turned it into. At least under Julius’s rules, she had been safe for a while although she didn’t know it was his rules and assumed the ‘actual boss’ had just changed his mind on some things, and that maybe customers weren’t paying as much as before. She tried to escape, actually stabbing whom she thought was the guard, but was actually the fake boss. He didn’t die from it, but she managed to escape with skill.
Julius found at all within minutes, and figured it out easily. He has suspected some bad things, but as he tortured the men who went against him, and the fake boss in particular, he found out what they did to Jennifer specifically and killed them slowly and painfully.
He then set his rule. Establishing to the majority of the men that were left and indeed always loyal to Julius not the front guy, that he was the true boss, and that it was time for him to finally be open to at least them about it. He told them of the acts against him and what had happened to those who had done them. It made them all understand, and the business became what he had made it, just openly. It was a safe haven, and the girls were no longer forced to prostitute, but instead help the community and make money that way, in whatever jobs they wanted. Most, however, liked their life and understood only that one. They believed as Julius did. Sex was only a fulfillment of a basic human need, and sometimes people enjoyed it. He made them safe to fulfill that AND make money, and they liked that. While yes, he believes that (and it was why prostitution wasn’t THAT horrible to him, as long as it was his way and not the wrong way) he also believes that it is a true wonderful fulfillment when love is involved. Even after explaining this to the women, most still continue the profession under his roof, and he doesn’t mind. Now he has trusted officials, an open conversation and understanding with them, and a way to keep them all safe, and still make money.
All he still needed was his daughter.
So his reason for being in Forks – the place her scent led him. He didn’t trust people, and preferred her under his roof (not doing what she did before, but so he could protect her always). Too bad that she is set in staying in Forks (he finds her, and sees a boy she seems fond of), and won’t believe his story. So he feels he has to use force, or any means to protect her. Will he learn that being a father means more than what he thinks is best, and force? Will he understand she needs to be there, be with the one she loves and not make her go back?
There is one thing about his personality that people should know. He is very blunt and very stubborn once on a set track of mind. It takes a lot for him to see reason, even with his high morals. He also believes in total honesty to those you care about or who work for you, so what he does in front of Jennifer, and says to the boy, named Jessie, is only because that is how he is, not to be cruel. It is also as a father trying to take back his daughter.
And so here he is. Julius Franco Dias, the father of Jennifer Renee Hadley.
And so the drama begins.
*So I might add on later, or whatnot, about both of them, but this is the basic recent history, with the connection between them, and breif description about her past. :]
