Lilian Michelle Donaven appeared to be your average sixteen year old junior in high school as she sat on the stage of the auditorium at Forks High School humming to herself as she flipped through a book she’d read umpteen amounts of times throughout the many years she’d gone through and finished high school. “You’d think they’d changed things up after at least twenty years.” She grumbled to herself, there wasn’t a reason for her to be there other than to keep up with appearances since she’d moved to town. But truly, there sat a one hundred and twenty six year old vampire whom was beyond her appeared years.
Her dark brown hair was streaked thickly with strands of blonde, cut bluntly, causing her to have to flick her bands out of her eyes as she pushed herself up to stand, only five foot four from the ground. Brushing her delicate hands off on her black jeans that hugged her thin, toned legs that held more power than one person could image would come from her entire body combined. A black studded belt was hooked around her waist, partially covered by the longer, loose t-shirt she wore that was a shade of fuchsia. There was a gray bandana that was folded numerous times that was wrapped around her head, working as a headband, and failing at that.
The humming turned to singing shortly after, as she picked up another one of her books and flipped through the pages absentmindedly. Lily wasn’t one to go out of her way to be social, even over the years of being around people, when you’d think she’d had practice, she preferred to be alone. Some could describe her as shy, well the few who she’d let get close to her over her long years of existence. The only person she seemed to completely trust was her older sister, and even then Lily found that to be a mistake at times. Adapting to a new place wasn't that hard for her, but the people of this school took having a new student as a reason to have a freaking parade or something, and it was starting to drive her completely nuts.

you know that i could use somebody, someone like you. -------------------- she had proclaimed to the first person that day who had said so, before contemplatively stroking her chin and leading an in-depth discussion to the use and history of the word 'hogwash.' Be that as it may, though, Charlie found herself hopping off her seat at her usual table with her bandmates (the ones that went to Forks, anyway) and other friends to say she was to scour the lockers and corridors for 'ghastly greens' and 'malicious meats.' They let her go with only slight worry for her mental well being. Humming a song that had gotten stuck inside her head earlier that morning on the car radio, she stuck her head inside the back of the auditorium, well used to 'borrowing' it from the drama director (usually with permission... sometimes not but that was all hush hush business) and knocking how to pick the lock when she didn't have the key; be that as it may, she stuck the pair of keys she used, also 'borrowed' from the janitor, in the pocket of her grey jeans. It was usually devoid of occupants during lunch period, unless the drama students were putting on a play and needed to rehearse and run lines, or there was an upcoming talent show; Charlie was well adjusted in the habit of sneaking in and just being, with or without some of her band mates, usually grabbing a guitar by the corner and strumming quietly as notes came to her mind. The mark of a musician at heart, she thought to herself with a grin, repeating her mom's words in her head. Letting her thoughts linger with the faint trace of the older Reed woman's words and laughter, she stepped back in surprise (hidden behind the thick velvet curtain, having already shut the door, quite silently she would add, like a fucking ninja) as a voice carried itself in the auditorium. But that wasn't right... Charlie furrowed her eyebrows, no one usually came here. But that voice was clearly not her imagination and clearly female, belonging to someone that wasn't her. And sounding remarkably good. But there weren't that many good singers at Forks, and if there were, Charlie knew of them; that sophomore, herself, Kyla, and various others, some of them scattered about in Chorus, some of them in different social groups. Yet this was new, a voice she hadn't heard of or encountered before. She listened intently behind the curtain, cocking her head to the side, intrigued; mystery girl had talent, no doubt about that. And yet even as she eavesdropped, a part - no, much larger than a singular part, a great amount of her wanting nothing else but to take the guitar she knew was hidden on her left, and start playing along, perhaps even joining in herself if the other girl didn't mind. While Charlie was aware she and her band were ridiculously... well, ridiculous, during practice and gigs and such, she knew musicians could be damned tempermental if they so wished. Still, she wouldn't pass up the chance on meeting another musician, so with a grand step Charlie moved to part the curtain and stepped one sneaker-clad foot forward. And in that deft, smooth manner, managed to trip over a piece of it on the ground, sliding the curtain open and revealing herself while simultaneously sprawling to her feet behind the girl. Dazed from the fall as she landed face down, she caught a flash of brunette streaked with blond as she blew her bangs out of her face, and grinned unashamedly at her less than tactful entrance. "So, is this the part where I say your voice makes me fall for you in dangerously clumsy proportions?" [/ul] -------------------- APPAREL charliee!MUSIC use somebody cover - paramore<33 WITH lily donaven(: SETTING forks high auditorium! Vampire senses, you’d think, would offer Lily a little further notice of the lurker behind the curtain. But, being wrapped up in her own world as she walked herself around about the stage, she barely took notice or didn’t bother to pay attention. The line was pretty thin in her opinion. The redhead that fell out from behind the curtain actually made Lily jump a bit in surprise, her back turned to her at the moment. Spinning around to face herself she found the girl at her feet with a goofy grin on her face, not seeming the least bit embarrassed about the fall she’d just taken. Lily wasn’t as cold hearted as some she knew of her species, being that way a grin broke out on her face. Hearing the girls voice sent something through Lily that confused her, the girl was just a teenage human. But, a very cute one at that Lily thought, the smile still on her face. Letting out a small laugh at the girl’s comment before she spoke, “I suppose that’d be a pretty accurate statement.” There was flirtation and friendship apparent in Lilian’s tone as she moved to help the girl up.
Offering Charlie a hand to help her up she took in the details of the girl’s face and figure. Over her countless years of being Lily has become less and less picky about the gender of her romantic interests. Boys, girls, aliens…well maybe not the aliens. She laughed at her thoughts, Aliens…not like I don’t already have to deal with all of the wolves around here. “I’d try to avoid the ‘dangerously’ part next time, wouldn’t want you to actually get hurt.” Pulling the girl off the ground, she made it look like it was more of a strain on her body when in actuality Charlie was light as a feather to her. “ Charlie, right?” She asked the girl. Lily had seen her around and heard of her, she had a band from her knowledge, so the fact that she was eavesdropping really wasn’t that surprising.

you know that i could use somebody, someone like you. -------------------- maybe one would consider someone of stage presence, say, in a band, would be a bit more graceful when it came to being on stage, but Charlie was neither performing or with her band at the moment, so the inner klutz could be put on proud display for all she really cared. Her grin, far from bashful (but when would that term ever apply to Charlie, honestly?), widened at sight of the other girl's smile, a fleeting overwhelming sensation that the other seemed to have a decent sense of humor. "Oh, totally," Charlie agreed solemnly, nodding her head while her face remained a mask of serious composure, before breaking out in a grin again when she offered her hand. Awesome hair and helpful. The second she grasped Lily's hand, however, the odd coolness of her skin made her blink in unvoiced confusion, before shrugging it off as nothing special; she had come across a few people in town that had cold skin, like her friend Leo. And besides, some of her friends were opposite, like Em, her drummer; God knows the girl could work as a space heater in winter. Must have been a recessive trait... or something. She was concerned for a slight second that the girl wouldn't be able to support her weight back up, but she seemed to do just fine and get the job done, and Charlie didn't think twice of it. "Thanks." When the stranger knew her by name, though, Charlie automatically did a double take; she hadn't expected her to know about her at all. It was just a pet peeve, really: she hated the idea of being known, but not personally, so she made it a point to introduce herself to new people often. But she was sure, quite sure in fact, that she hadn't seen Lily around before, so what was up with that? "Uh, yeah." she paused, furrowing a brow and tilting her head slightly. "I don't know you though, and that won't do," Charlie frowned, her lower lip jutting out just slightly, making her look childlike, or as childlike as possible with vibrant red hair and skinny jeans. Of course, now was an excellent time to realize that she had still been holding the girl's hand, and before a slight bout of chagrin could meet her, she had leaned in and hugged the girl briefly. Stepping back and messing with her hair with a genuine laugh, Charlie brightened considerably and beamed at the girl. "So what's your name, stranger danger?" [/ul] -------------------- APPAREL charliee!MUSIC she says - howie day WITH lily donaven(: SETTING forks high auditorium! NOTES :3
