NOT FINISHEEDDDD
The normal stages of losing a loved one:
Denial, Depression, Bargaining, Anger, Acceptance
Hannah Parkes stages of losing a loved one:
Quiet, Isolation, Depression, Anger, Fear, Change, Revenge
Not much could have pushed Hannah Parkes over the edge, but what did was something she could never had expected. The death of her father, coupled to that of the fateful day of the fight pushed her beyond her breaking point. She had been sure she would die that day, and was ready for the sweet embrace of death, for the beautiful escape. But instead whatever god she thought she believed in had decided she had to life, had to suffer. That is how she saw it. She was worthless to her loved ones now, and didn't feel like anything would matter. She couldn't enjoy anything anymore, not even the one person who she knew she loved more than anything. Mostly she couldn't enjoy her time with him because first of all, they still were how they had been at first - rude, obnoxious, sex-obsessed. Annie needed more, especially now. Right when she had had the courage to tell him, it was ruined. It was hard talking to him. She was sure he didn't want love, didn't want permanent. She was sure that now, he still wanted fun, still wanted easy. She was stuck, and she would be happy, if she could make it through things. But she couldn't even think of trying to fix how she wanted her love life to be, she had to come to terms with the death of her father, so she could get back to life, get to where she could take care of Addie, of Josh. Her obligations and loyalty still held strong, so she focused on trying to fix her overwhelming greif. She should have realized when you push something broken to be fixed, it just gets broken worse.
Stage one, Quiet.
This stage lasted merely weeks starting from day one. She only spoke when she had to, mostly because she was lost in thought, lost in absolute disbelief. She had believed she would wake up from the horrible nightmare and all would be good, and she would give up everything to take care of her family, of her dad.
