"What did you say?"
"You heard me. Get out!"
Life hasn't been easy for Joshua Davies over the past year.
After the confrontation in the clearing so long ago, the battle-scarred members of La Push had come back more than a little shaken, most of them in their own ways. The Dakota boy was more or less welcomed after a disappearing act, though not without a verbal lashing from his girlfriend. The big one, Connor, was supposed to get married soon, or that was what Annie told him. And Annie...
Well, that hasn't been easy either. With patience unknown to him ever before, Joshua Jacob Davies hasn't pushed or pried to know what had happened outside of the day she had woken up in the hospital. The day she had tried to laugh it off, her eyes betraying the hurt he could read on her face. Asking if it was really him, since she had never seen him so serious before, like he cared.
"Of course I care! I l-"
But the word wouldn't come off of his tongue just then, and it was lucky anyway since a nurse had to inject more pain medication into her IV bag. He stared at his hands, closing his eyes. The pompous, incorrigible, insufferably rich Joshua Davies, in love with a girl? It was ridiculous, it was stupid, it was absolutely true.
The months passed and senior year had finally reached its closure, the traditional cap and gown ceremony attended by his little brother, because obviously his dad had better things to do. He did pay attention, though, when college acceptance letters were being mailed out. And God, did he ever pay attention when the Davies boy won an all-expenses paid scholarship to Dartmouth. The congratulations was given, the champagne opened, and a beaming father was present as Joshua flipped the letter back onto the table.
"I'm not going."
To this day, Joshua isn't sure if he's ever seen his dad that outraged. He's not sure why, considering they could afford to send him to ten Dartmouth's, scholarship or no scholarship. Later he guessed it was the pride, and it wasn't as if the man didn't try to sway his son's mind for the next couple weeks of summer. Late acceptance and registration was possible, of course; but all of that left his mind the second Mr. Davies had too much to drink one evening and Joshua returned home late from an evening with Annie. "It's that slut, isn't it? Isn't it?! That stupid, poor little wh-" He never got to finish his sentence.
A brawl and a gash across his cheek later, the Davies' mansion became permanently shut to Joshua. No more money. No more Jeremy. No more anything. Up until now, he's been living on the streets, sneaking inside the mansion every afternoon when his father's away (Jeremy's a smart boy... smart enough to unlock the security code for his big brother, anyway) to get clothes and shower. He's been doing this for months, unknown to many, most of all his girlfriend. He'd never dare tell her, she's under enough pressure as it is.
Though as he's growing desperate for money to just survive, and a new gossip columnist is digging up dirty laundry in Forks and La Push, how long can his secret last?

Pretty much, I'm looking for 1-2 friends (probably the only real ones he has) that know about his living situation and try helping him out every once in awhile.
Someone to blackmail him would be excellent, too. Joshua's had lots of enemies for his attitude throughout high school, humbled now or not, not everyone is going to be forgiving.
