gossip, girls, and enemies OH MY!

[Harper McNeel]

Harper McNeel's life wasn't very complicated until a girl, an opportunity, and an enemy all came into the picture at once.

The girl.
It is fine that for once Harper finds someone she feels whole around - feels right around. And that for once she isn't being used. The problem is that the very person who used her is this girl's sister. Also, Ryanne has no idea about the things between Mara and Harper before the party incident. Mara usually keeps Ryanne from knowing about her little .. things that she does. Mostly she is afraid that Ryanne wouldn't look up to her or care about her the same if she knew how horrible she was outside of home. This girl turns Harper's world inside out. That and Ryanne is a human, who knows nothing of her world (and her sister's world) so she has to keep hiding her secret. It seems that somehow the two things she isn't telling her both are also Mara's secrets. Funny with how protecting herself from getting hurt or hurting Ryanne, she is also helping the one person she can't stand.

The Enemy.
Mara Myles seems to always get what she wants. And now she has something Harper wants - her sister, Ryanne. Mara can hold it over Harper all she wants, that at the end of the day, her sister trusts her sister more than some girl she just met (or so Mara believes and hopes with all her heart). One slip up in the wrong direction (such as Mara finding out about Harper and Ryanne feeling and being more) then Mara can make Harper's life a living hell and she knows it. Mara is also out to get her. When you mess with one of the most popular (at least by being known) and the most destructive girls in the two towns, then you get what is coming to you.

The Opportunity.
Harper had always felt a passion in her writing, and hoped that someday it would lead her to great places. Then one day, after months of popping out mediocre news stories assigned to her on the school paper, the editor came in and gave her a shot she took without thinking. She was offered a trial run on a gossip column that would include gossip from both towns. She was given specific requirements: find your gossip and use sources, use your own blog so the public can react, and don't let the editor look bad. She agreed, hoping for once that her writing would actually be noticed. Oh it was sure noticed alright, just not in the way she intended. When you are smearing lies or secrets about people's lives, do you honestly think they are going to congratulate you or care if you used amazing vocabulary? No, they are going to care that you are ruining their lives. Some people go direct with their revenge, trying to hurt her (as if thye could since she isn't human), and then others use revenge indirectly. Some people get smart and start doing the exact thing she was - exposing secrets of her own. As they say, an eye for an eye. It is only fair, right?


Needed
So basically there needs to be an active amount of you awesome people giving me dish (even lies) about your characters that I can put in the column. Then there can be some who get their secrets spilled and do something direct, and then others that do the same thing to her with the indirect road.

Okay, if any of you have gossip about your characters (such as secrets the need exposing, or lies that need to be said for a plot) then send them to me on this account to be put in her first gossip column of her blog. You can put lies that would make your characters mad, or the secrets that you want released for them. In your message tell me if the character is going to be mad, fine, or angry. If they will take revenge, and what kind on Harper. And just tell me your terms on what should be said and what shouldn't be.

Note: telling people about powers, species, or anything humans shouldn't know about will not happen. Only personal secrets and such.
