Theres only two types of people in the world
The ones that entertain, and the ones that
Well baby Im a put-on-a-show kinda girl
Dont like the backseat, gotta be first
Im like the ringleader
I call the shots
Im like a firecracker
I make it hot
Mara Elizabeth Myles has never been extremely aware of anything to do with her true family, and the past that goes with it. But when she begins to notice a woman following her wherever she goes, she starts to get an eerie feeling. At one point, she confronts her in one of the most hostile of ways, although her friend comes with her, so she doesn't do something incredibly stupid. The woman seems to know a lot about her, and shares a lot of information with her. The information was intended to relieve Mara, but it forms hatred in her heart - something no one intended, especially the woman who she later learned, was her mother. Mara goes crazy with rage, and wants to hurt the pack that ruined her life. But it is when she realizes that her life was better this way - with the family she has now. Although her realization kicks it, it doesn't before she starts her mad manhunt for the people who changed her life. She nearly kills someone of her mother's former pack, until another werewolf steps in. He feels the anger, the pain, the hurt inside her and tries to stop her. At first, she is angry, but then she is thankful for his stopping her. Something that she didn't count on, was what happened when their eyes met. Mara had imprinted something she had never understood nor did she ever think possible for herself. She refused to believe, refused to think about it. For nights after their meeting, she tried to get him out of her head, but she couldn't. She would run in wolf form, trying to block out everyone's thoughts and memories, including her own. But he didn't just see the frustrations she was dealing with the night they met, he also saw something else in her, something that he didn't understand, but wanted to understand. When they run into each other, what will happen? Did he imprint on her? If he did, did he even care? Was Mara just setting herself up to get hurt?
All the while, Mara is being her normal self - doing as she pleases and not caring the least, except for the fact she can't get one individual guy out of her head. The help her cope, she does what she always does - spends time with her truest of friends, Audrey Black. But also, she spends time with her young sister, as Ryanne learns a lot more about life than her parents had planned. This is all she can do to keep herself sane, that, and spending her time with whomever she pleases at night.
