Matthew hasn't been close to anyone, and with good reason. When you could lose control and kill someone in the matter of seconds, it might make you a little reluctant to get close to people, and cause you to push those closest to you away. But when a girl pushes through his walls, things start changing. He throws the most horrible things at her, hoping it will hurt or offend her enough that she will hate him and stay away, but for some reason, it just fuels this girl anymore. Trying to get close to him, to help him. She knows he is only saying those things to keep people away, and she wants to help. This completely turns his world inside out. No one has ever pushed this hard to get through to him. He thought something was seriously wrong with her head if she messed with a guy who was doing nothing but being a complete ass to her, but at some point he stopped pushing. He couldn't bear to keep himself away anymore. It was becoming to tiring, and it hurt. He slowly let her in, still keeping his distance. During this time, a werewolf a little older than him started to come around, trying to help him out. He noticed his call for out, and the way he was keeping away from people - the werewolf could tell he needed help. And all the time Matthew was reluctant, but the werewolf broke through his walls and helped him, and explained things to him. One of which was the fact of imprinting, something he knew nothing about. That was when he realized something that he began to understand. He had imprinted on the girl. Of all the things he had to deal with, he had to imprint. Talk about getting close to people. It was hard to stay away from someone you were meant to be close to. And during this time, he starts talking to his friends again - not at school though, no, through the internet. He still didn't trust himself enough to talk with them in person. And every time they tried, he just made up excuses why he couldn't.

What will happen? Will the girl manage to completely break through and to keep from getting hurt? Will he let his friends back in? And will he let the werewolf help him?

So Fallon could notice the signs and understand why is avoiding people, which is why she pushes to get in, so he knows he isn't alone? And then they both just go from there into liking each other, or something. That part doesn't have to be completely planned or anything. =]

And for Conner, maybe Melanie noticed a kid being really weird when she went shopping for milk for Clary? And she told Conner she thought something was up and asked if he knew him? And he could just have understood from what Melanie explained that maybe he needed someone?
