Just who do you think you are?
Full Name:
Adalae "Ada" Ashlinn Parkes
Age:
She may look seventeen but she knows she's twenty-three
Gender:
She's clearly of the female gender
Sexuality:
She's straight, but she thinks guys are idiots, so she'd never even try for love. Occasions when she does are rare to an extremem extent.
Occupation:
Occasionally working in the Thrift Store, most of the time just not having a job.
Grade:
She's the highest in La Push High, a true senior girl.
Species:
She keeps her head held high as a werewolf.
Look This Way
Eye Color:
More often than not, Adalae's eyes are the dark, caramel brown she always liked to see through. Due to her personality, her eyes are always dark, or nearly always. Around Annie, they're very bright, simply because she's always in a much lighter mood around her twin. Her emotions are a lot less easily betrayed by her eyes; she's very good at keeping everything out of her expression, her eyes, etc. She's nearsighted, annoyingly enough, and so is nearly always wearing contacts. If she's at home and plans on staying there, she'll wear her glasses; but never very often. She hates them.
Hair Color and Style:
Her deep, dark brown hair reaches just past her shoulders to about the end of her neckline, curling on the ends and being generally very wavy above that. She straightens it always, mostly because when she doesn't, people mistak eher for Annie, which bugs her beyond recognition. People still sometimes do, evne when her hair is straightened.
Build:
She's not much taller than her twin, so Ada considers her height to be average, just because. she has long legs, but she doesn't like when people point it out. Mostly wearing cleats or sneakers, Adalae's feet would hurt if she stuck them in a high heel - not that she'd be caught dead in them, anyway. She's got plenty of strength, although you wouldn't honestly be able to tell unless you knw her well. She, like her twin, is skinny, although for slightly different reasons. al in all, she's got a good body, and has always htought her hair and shoulders were her best features.
Skin Tone:
With her porcelain skin, Adalae's never been fond of it. She'll often tan in summer, trying hard as she can. Sh elikes sunny days the most, and does like the natural glow of her skin as well as her sister's. She tans easily, something she loves to an extent, and in the sun she can actually look a little darker.
Height:
Five feet, nine inches.
Weight:
140: Bring up her weight and she'll switch subjects. She doesn't care. She eats what she eats, she excercises, adn for Adalae, that's all there is to it.
Piercings or Tattoos:
One piercing per ear. She doesn't like tattoos, thinking they're a waste of body space and permanent damage, and she's strongly opposed to getting anymore ear piercings or any piercings, period.
Clothing Style:
Sporty, really. She likes shorts and tanks, but put her in pink or a bright color and she'll have to try not to kill you. Brown, dark green, navy blue, and red are the colors she wears most, and generally jean shorts. A couple of spiky earrings or some jeweled studs and she's 'ready to go'.
This is Who I Am

[x]Silence - She cna stand it unless she's drawing or writing, and she's always one to break it.
[x]Cherries - One of her mother's nicknames for her was Cherry, because she loved them so much and because she liked red so much. Ever since her mom died, she refuses to eat cherries, although she's been caught more than once by both Annie and their father drawing them.
[x]Photography - She's never been good with a camera, and has never found photography to give her the same calm that drawing does.
[x]Snobs - Adalae's thoughts: The only people who like snobs are other snobs, and stupid guys.
Strengths:
Sarcastic: She's used sarcasm her whole life, and knows how and when to. She uses it quite often, but she knows when being sarcastic will get her trouble and will stop if it will.
Sassy: Not only is she sassy all the time, she's got a million sassy comebacks in her arsenal. If you're trying to stump her, good luck with that. It won't happen very fast.
Trustworthy: While she herself may not be very trusting, she is certaintly trustworthy. She can keep a secret even if her life didn't depend on it, and she's not about to lie on purpose. She only lies when its to protect someone or keep a secret. Period.
Loyal: While she doesn't have many friends, the ones she does have know she'll never go back on them. At least, she won't unless you completely tick her off. But her friends would never do that...would they?
Independent: She knows when to keep her mouth shut, but she's not afraid to stand up for what she believes in. Stand in her way and she won't hesitate to kick your butt. She does what she wants, when she wants, and no one can stop her. Except Annie, because she knows her sister only has her safety in mind. If Annie says stop, Ada will stop. Period.
Weaknesses:
Rowdy: Sometimes Ada can be a little too rowdy, and doesn't know when to stop. It's gotten her into trouble more times than she cares to think about.
Headstrong: While her independence can take her a long way, her headstrong personality can often endanger her in more ways than one.
Stubborn: Sort of goes along with her independence, but sometimes Ada doesn't know when a fight is lost. She's stubborn until the very end.
Attitude: Adalae's got a whole lot of attitude, and often it does her more harm than good. She doesn't know when to stop and give up her attitude-y act, and mkaes more enemies because of it than she does friends.
Protective: While most would sya it's a good thing, Ada knows her protective side causes her more harm than it should. While she may be a bit overprotective of the people she cares about, she often gets hurt protecting someone. Especially if she's protecting them from physical damage.
Personality:
Sweet, polite, quiet. Those would be the wrong words to describe Miss Adalae Parkes, and you'd be getting her mixed up with twin sister Annie, something she hates dearly.
Adalae is sassy, sarcastic, and rude. She doesn't care what others think of her, she'll always be herself. Take it or leave it, as she often says. She's very sassy, and she knows it, uses it, loves it. Her sarcasm and sassiness has often gotten her into trouble, but she brushes it off like a speck of dirt on a white shirt. She doesn't ever care, and though she is veyr rude, it's only on the outside. On the inside, she's very, very different.
Although the only people to see the other side of Ada are Annie, her father, and the few friends she has, the moment she sees them, she becomes a diffeent person. She's kinder, sweeter on the inside, and sometimes quieter. She's much more serene and a lot less sarcastic and sassy, and her creative mind shines out around Annie and her father for the most part. She doesn't dance in public, not even if her friends are there, but she will if you're alone with her.
She often says she is the way she is around people because she doesn't wnat to get hurt, btu the truth is she's afraid. Afraid someone will try and manipulate her, afraid someone will try and blackmail her. And so her 'exterior' is a person who doesn't care, doesn't think twice about her actions. She'll dare you to try and blackmail her, because now she knows it won't hurt her, it will hurt you if she rats you out for it. She's not so concerned about being manipulated any longer, because she knows she can manipulate right back.
But she'd never, ever let go of what she worked so hard to create for herself.

History:
The independent, headstrong girl who, as a child, hadn't been the girl she was now. But she'd always been anything but normal, jsut like her twin sister, just like her father. Quite unlike her simple, normal mother, for whom she cared about so fully. And who she misses with all her heart. But maybe this sotry should start at the beginning. She grew up around everything Annie did - the stories about the protecters, but she knew as well as Annie did that they were real. Their father was one, the even-tempered, kind man who was always there for the twins and their mother.
But when the twins were six, things started to change. Their mother got sick, aging when their father was not. While the thought of Annie and Adalae becoming werewolves had hardly crossed anyone's mind, it was odd to see their mother begin to age when their father wasn't. And then there was the whole fact that their mother had gotten cancer, which was the start of Adalae's new personality. She watched her mother spend eight years fighting the cancer, until the twins were fourteen. And Annie had started phasing about a month and a half before Adalae, but her mother was too weak to take care of the girls as they became werewolves.
Ada had to watch Annie get a hang on her abilities as her mother was dying, and it struck her hard. She, like her twin, hadn't seen her mother in the last few days of her life, except for the night she died. Both girls had been there, Annie holding their mother's hand, Ada kneeling beside her sister, head resting on her mother's chest, one hand holding Annie's other one as Adalae cried, the other behind her mother's head. And then her mother was gone, and Ada's tears had practically poured out.
But their father, the girl could see, ahd taken the hardest hit. He gave up phasing, nearly giving up on life. But after a year of wallowing, misery, and tears, he began to shape up and take charge. He took care of them, teaching them to go for what they wanted and be who they were no matter what. He heklped them get control of themselves as werewolves, and of course as the growing girls they were. Btoh girls put up walls that only family and friends to get inside of, although Adalae might've taken it one step further.
While her mother taught her the same things she taught Annie, Ada had a harder time continuing them. It hurt her to do anything linked to her mother, so she ended up locking it away in her memory and rarely bringing it back. She didn't often go outside her small circle of friends, barely even talking to anyone when she partied. She doesn't often go into the thrift shop, but helps out Annie eveyr now and then.
The twins were nearly always attached at the hip, doing most everything together, even when their personalities became nearly opposite. But Ada was always the person she'd been as a child around Annie and their father - being the women of the house was job neither was about to handle alone. Though Annie spent most of her time at the store or by herself, Ada spent most of her time drawing, dancing, or partying. But they had each other, and they had their responsibilities.
Just like Annie, Adalae grew up knowing Jacob Black and the La Push pack. And though she was a fighter, she refused as well when they asked her to join them. It wasn't her problem, and it never had been. She cared about the town, but she had enough things to handle without that. So she refused everytime, being stubborn as she nearly always was.

From an RP with Riley:
He rolled his eyes, shaking his head. "And how many times am I going to have to say this? Not the world," he corrected her playfully, "life." He smiled again, as always loving how easy it was to be around her. Always smiling when she was around, unless around someone he hated at the same time. Eyes always bright, the green-gray practically twinkling. Voice always playful, teasing, light. Everything it was with the twins. Only, in a way, enhanced because there wasn't all that childhood fighting to get in the way of the best friends.
"Oh, yeah, I soo wish you never hugged me," Riley snickered, sarcastic and teasing. he wasn't the least bit surprised when she jumped up right off the bat and hugged him, and returned the hug like he always did. He smiled at her words and sighed. "Ditto," he said, voice light, sweet, sincere. He hated that it took so much for him to see her, hated it with nearly all his heart. If he could see her without having those problems, he'd be perfectly happy.
And then the cell phone in his back pocket rang, an he sighed. He looked down, keeping the embrace with one hand as his other pulled out the cell phone, and rolled his eyes. "Ryla," he said, glancing at the caller ID. He flipped open the phone, feeling a little annoyed, and sighed. "Yea?" he asked, then held the phone away from his ear as the twin chattered non-stop in an un-characteristically high voice. "Slow down!" he finally managed to say.
"So clean it up! Well, whose fault is that, Ryla?" he sighed again, wondering why in the world Ryla had tried something like that without him around. "Where's Rina? Then give her the phone, Ryla, this isn't hard!" He glanced at Melanie, hating that she was having to hear him argue with Ryla when he should've been talking to her. "Rina, help Ryla clean up. And, you know what? Tell her she's banned from the stove unless I'm home. Bye." He snapped the phone shut, sighing deeply and closing his eyes for a second. When he opened them, he looked at Mel apologetically.
"sorry. Ryla wasn't exactly...careful just now."
