The One Behind the Mask
Alias: Nami
Roleplay Experience: Uh . . . five years?
Activity Level: Very high, seeing as it's summer.
RP Sample: If there was one thing she hated, it was snow.
Well, actually, it wasn't so much the snow as it was the underclassmen. She was often mistaken for someone younger due to her height, and thus she was always pelted with snowballs. Another thing was trying to get through the snow. Her flare jean were soaked, but at least she was warm. Wearing a dark brown afghan lined with gray and brown fur, Natalie was perfectly toasty -- except her feet, which felt like they were frostbitten. (Well, if you could actually feel frostbite, seeing as it numbs your feet.)
She trugded along Hogsmeade's main road in black pumps, searching for the pub she knew would be packed.
Natalie couldn't help but smile as she entered the Three Broomsticks. The cheerful pub, with its rosewood booths and comfy, dark red seats was always filled with the quiet hum of conversation and chatter. The rosewood bar was always loudest, filled with the loud gossips determined to shout every little secret to the world, and the barmen and waitresses calling out orders.
The air was always thick with drinks floating about, or candles almost burnt out. There was always a group of wizards sitting in a circle near one of the many fireplaces, telling tall tales and watching their audiences grow. Occaisionally, one of the fireplaces would flash green, and out would step a young wizard with his briefcase, or a middle-aged witch babbling on to some poor soul.
The booths were always filled with students, usually arranged by year (the older students were closer to the back and warmth while the younger students hovered near the front, freezing; and then by house, as the students would usually group into their own house's cliques. Natalie, looking around, spotted no familiar scarlet and gold scarves, nor loud chants of, "Go Gryff! Beat Slyth!" or anything her house was usually doing.
Instead, she spotted an empty booth in the middle, and hurried over, brushing windblown hair out of her face as she did so and almost tripping over herself in the proccess. A slightly-wrinkled waitress approached her. "Hello. What would you like this evening?" the waitress asked her in an "I-could-care-less" tone. Natalie simply said, "Just a butterbeer," and gave her the two Sickles.
While waiting for her drink, Natalie removed the afghan to reveal a Pink Floyd tee, a studded black belt, and Muggle jeans. The waitress gave her the glass, and walked away, throwing odd looks at her tee: the woman didn't seem to know who the band was. Natalie sipped her butterbeer silently, watching the pub around her.

Face Claim: Sophia Bush
Just who do you think you are?
Full Name: Noelle Isolde Newton
Age: Seventeen
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Occupation: In school, but she does work at the family store on weekends and during the summer.
Grade: Senior
Species: Human
Look This Way
Eye Color: Her eyes? Some would say stormy gray. Others would say mercury, or quicksilver. Either way, her eyes are very expressive, framed by long, dark lashes. They say your eyes are the window to your soul; and in this case, it's true Noelle's eyes display emotion; whether it's playful mischeivousness, raw anger, or a cold, calculating gaze, her eyes never lie.
Hair Color and Style: Noelle's long, curly dark chocolate-colored hair falls over her shoulders in a graceful waterfall. Occasionally she will straighten it in a vain attempt to give it some sort of restraint, but it is all to no avail. Noelle's hair refuses to stay straight, no matter how much hairspray you cover it with, and it usually ends up in limp, almost straight waves after about an hour. Her hair, although pretty in color, is lacking in control. It is rather thick and that is something she is proud of. She is constantly running her hands through her long hair, although it worsens considerably when she is nervous or taking an exam. Which explains why she always comes out of exams and tests looking like she just got out of bed, only less bleary-eyed and tired.
Build: Noelle is actually short and slender. Barely clearing five feet, she is a lot of attitude in a small package. She may look weak, but she has tremendous control of her body, and her arms are quite strong. She holds herself well; her posture indicates pride (and a little vanity).
Skin Tone: Noelle is as tan as she can possibly be in a place where the sun never shines; she lives in Forks, after all.
Height: Five feet.
Weight: one hundred and nine pounds.
Piercings or Tattoos: Only her ear lobes.
Clothing Style: Noelle mainly wear jeans and a tee shirt. She's fashion-impaired, according to the more 'popular' girls in school.

Strengths:
If you tell Noelle a secret, she'll keep it. She will make sure that whatever it is, nobody will find out.
She battles to the bitter end; she's foolish in the sense that she's not going to give up. Even if it kills her.
She's also very quick to heal. She's a bit of a daredevil -- okay that's a lie, she's a total daredevil -- and so she's built up a sort of immunity.
Weaknesses:
Noelle has a tendency to jump the gun. She's very untrustworthy, and has a very, very hard exterior. She's one tough nut to crack. But once you gain her trust, you will have it until the end of time. Unless you hurt her; then you've got a serious problem.
She's also very loud. Explosive, really. She's got the shortest temper in Forks, and people tend to avoid her when she's pissed.
Not everyone knows this, but she's deathly afraid of clowns. DEATHLY AFRAID. And she'll take that with her to the grave.
Noelle tends to blurt. It's like diarrhea of the mouth with her. She's pissed, then it only gets worse.
Noelle is really stubborn. Obnoxiously so.
Noelle is a daredevil. She gets in trouble with the law a lot.
Personality:
Noelle is fiery. She'll bite you if you come too near - metaphorically speaking - and usually she'll talk as easily to someone she just met as to a lifelong friend. She's good at fighting, but horrible about actually being /girly/. She loves sports, though – especially soccer. She’s the captain of the soccer team at Forks High.
Noelle is witty. She often prefers verbal battles rather than physical, because verbal battles are much safer and have a tendency to attract other people. And that is another thing about Noelle: she loves to show off. She is usually quite confident and holds a fiery sense of pride. Luck comes frequently to her. However, she has a quick temper, as well as a dynamic personality. She loves being sarcastic and is partial to make everyone else's life as hard as possible. Her number one pet peeve is idiots.
Noelle is regarded as adventurous, active and outgoing. Although she is independent, outgoing and assertive, Noelle is also surprisingly trusting, often innocently walking into the lion's den at times. No matter what upheaval, challenge or triumph she confronts, Noelle has a wonderful ability to bounce back. Her faith in life and the future remains untouched by hardship. She is also forceful, dynamic and aggressive, and as a result, she sometimes finds herself with dilemmas surrounding her romantic relationships. For Noelle, a man has to be a 'real man' to deal with an her, otherwise she intimidates him. But whatever the situation, Noelle is a 'doer' rather than a 'talker'. She is the impulsive, act first, ask questions or have doubts later, highly competitive girl who stands out. That's why her life is often filled with many dramas, and sometimes even accidents. Her ability to live life close to the edge provides her with a wealth of 'real experience' to call upon. When someone like Noelle talks about something or somewhere, they've usually done it or been there, rather than simply read about it in a book (Noelle has done both). Being an active person, she can't adapt to any kind of restriction, particularly possessive relationships. She often travels to escape any feelings of being stuck or possessed.
Noelle also loves challenges. In fact, if everything is running smoothly, she is quite capable of going out and doing something (sometimes quite foolish) to rock the boat. Noelle loves to race in, where angels fear to tread. Her values are more intellectual than spiritual. Primarily a girl of action, she demonstrates subtlety and cunning. Frank and amiable, she makes quick decisions, and grasp ideas just as quickly. Quick of mind, and just as quick to anger, Noelle is known for her impatience, and is prone to be arrogant.
Family:
Jessica Alana Newton - 48
Mike Joshua Newton - 48
History:
On the morning of April 13th, Mike Newton and Jessica Newton were out for a stroll in the park, when Jessica's water broke. Two months and a day early. She was rushed to the hospital, Mike worrying frantically in the car. It was a miracle they didn't crash.
The little girl was born after several hours of labor, at the time of 11:58 PM. She was small, only about ten inches long, and barely two pounds. Thankfully, though, the only complication was her stunted growth.
She wasn't a very girly-girl, always throwing tantrums and wanting to get dirty rather than to play with dolls. Eventually she was tottering around the store, enchanting the customers with her big eyes and round cheeks. Consequently, the Newtons made a great profit that year.
Elementary school was mostly a breeze, but preschool was a nightmare. She was always in trouble, for smart-mouthing and adult or taunting another child; the reasons and excuses were endless. Middle school was a bit of a relief, because Noelle was actually quiet for a while. The only times she ever got into trouble were when she was directly pushed around.
Noelle Isolde Newton grew up in the family store at Forks, and at the age of ten, she was already working there. Noelle grew up familiar with forks and the surrounding wilderness. She started hanging around the local La Push gangs, cliff diving and doing other dangerous things. She was always going to the Forks Hospital, and is well-aquainted with the staff there. Though Noelle spent time at La Push, she spent way more time at Forks and Port Angeles and occaisionally Seattle.
As Noelle entered high school, her position in the social ladder was clear. She wasn't like any of the plastics that seemed to dominate high schools everywhere, but she was certainly popular. She fit more into the jock category, though.
Noelle was rather carefree as to the strict heirarchy of high school, and made many friends through her years. But she also has a few enemies, and makes it well-known to the school who she does and does not like. She excelled in P.E., much like her father, but grew up as loving soccer. Noelle wasn't really good for anything else, though, due to her height and physical weaknesses.
