The One Behind the Mask
Alias: Lana
Roleplay Experience: Less than a year, but I'm told I'm good. I've been a hardcore writer for awhile, so that helps.
Activity Level: At the very most, I'll have a four to five day absence. I know, it sounds bad, but it's rare. And I always notify someone if it will be a longer absence.
RP Sample: Just a piece of Kalli at the beach. Basically an intro for her.

Just who do you think you are?
Full Name: Kalli Sue Clearwater. Some call her Kal.
Age: 16 long years, and has been phasing for two.
Gender: She be a female
Sexuality: Straight as you can get
Occupation: Student
Grade: 11th grade at La Push High
Species: Werewolf through and through.
Look This Way
Eye Color: The color itself is nothing that unique; they're a simple shade of dark brown - almost black, even. It's the way they reflect her mood that make them a little different. They don't change color, but their intensity varies. When Kalli is angry, most people can't even look at her face, they're so afraid of being smoldered by her gaze. When calm, however, they look completely normal. Her eyes are just another part of her that's just so unpredictable.
Hair Color and Style: Her hair is more often than not a huge mess of black and brown curls, that seem to grow larger during the day. Sand and salt from the beach doesn't exactly help make it look any better, either. But, when she puts time and effort into it - a rare thing - it falls in simple curls past her shoulders.
In wolf form, Kalli has a nice coat of dusty gray and silver. She doesn't do much with it except groom it every so often.
Build: Her build is tall and curvy. But, beneath those curves, are muscles that help her lift 15 pounds several times without breaking a sweat.
Skin Tone: A nice, tan, olive complexion that - so long as she washes her face - stays clear and doesn't burn easily.
Height: She stands at about five feet eight inches. Being a female, Kalli is smaller than the boys of the Pack in wolf form, but her mother is constantly assuring her she was as well.
Weight: Her eating habits, growth spurts, height, and calorie burning (dancing and running as a wolf) equals out around 134 pounds. In wolf form, she's only about ten pounds heavier.
Piercings or Tattoos: None.
Clothing Style: It's pretty simple. She's the type of girl that will just throw on a pair of jeans, a t-shirt, brush her hair and teeth, and walk out the door. When she's forced to dress-up, it's often just a blue or black dress and a pair of non-suicidal heels and a dab of makeup. She has a pair of ear buds super-glued to her ears, the cord leading down to her back pocket.

Strengths: Music is her strength. Whether it be the technical aspects of it, a genre, an instrument, she knows all about it. It embodies her, and it gives her strength. A certain song make her sad or happy, peppy or lethargic. She often feels like music is her soul.
She's honest. Kalli will tell you the truth, even if it hurts you or her. She won't lie to her parents unless it's absolutely necessary, which she finds is rarely. It's another reason she dislikes being in the Pack - the lies involved with it.
She's realistic. She's not doom and gloom pessimism all the time, but she's not going to give you a washed-down version of something. It ties in with her honesty sometimes; she just won't stand for a front making somethign look better or more helpful than it is.
Weaknesses:
She's shy. At school, when she's longing to talk to someone, she can't start up a conversation. And even when she does, she ends up being too honest and too sarcastic for it to last long ebfore the person invents a reason to leave.
School is another one. She never has been very good at it, due to her lack of attention. Math and science especially; give her a sheet of music and she'll soar. With an equation, she'll crash and crash hard
She can't refrain herself from being insecure, no matter who tells her otherwise. No matter what she does, she always feels her position is too precarious to help herself. She always craves approval, always despises and dreads disapproval. She does care about what others think about her, and it's somehting she doens't see going away for a while.
She has a temper that has the worst times of unleashing itself. No matter what she does, what anyone does, she just ccan't control it. The Pack is wary around her, but she surprised them by not being prone to phasing with an anger spurt. She laughs it off, secretly wishing they didn't notice her for one of her flaws.
Heights give her vertigo, she can't stand them. Given, she doesn't puke or anything, but they render her unable to move or breathe well.
Personality:
First Impressions
To most, Kalli has always seemed a cold, caustic, and snobby-like person at first. But she's just shy, and that coupled with her tendency to hide her thoughts and feelings, makes her keep to herself in fear of letting something slip.
Friends
Kalli is insecure with her friends. She sees herself as something they can throw out when she gets too bothersome. She never says anything against them unless it goes against her morals, ethics, principles, or whatever you want to call them. She's afraid and intimidated by them more often than not, and often takes what they have for her in silence. These people scare her more than most strangers do, because they actually know what can make her tick. And they're the few people that she isn't completely honest with.
Family
Her family, the Pack and close friends included, are the few people who make her feel good about herself. She lets loose around them, her sarcastic comments made out of affection more than anything. She's always honest, helpful, and caring when it comes to them, and she wouldn't be afraid to sacrifice herself for any of them.
General
The few constant things about Kalli is her brutal honesty, sarcasm, stubborn and defiant attitude, and short temper.
She's not afraid to tell you what she thinks, no matter what it is. She doesn't like lying, and her honesty has made her many unintentional enemies. ("Hey! At least I told you your hair looked like a rat's nest! What kind of friends lie to you about something as trivial as that?")
Her sarcasm is always there, and it's intensity varies on many things, including how hungry or tired she is, what kind of mood she's in, and so on and so forth. It can be sharp or teasing, meant as a joke or as an insult.
She's stubborn as a mule. Even when she realizes she's wrong, she sticks with something. She's too proud to admit she may have messed up, and this adds to that snobby-like first impression. She's very defiant, and is unlikely to take any crap lying down from anyone, including her parents.
Kalli has slight anger problems. Irritation, agitation, frustration, and fury are no strangers to her. In fact, because she was always so often ticked off before she started phasing, it takes something really maddening for her to phase accidentally. The smallest thing is enough to shorten her already small fuse.
Alone
When Kalli's alone, most people wouldn't recognize her. She's a completely different person. She's peaceful and content when it's jsut her around. She'll hum or sing along to whatever song she's listening to, and never hesitates smiling or laughing at something like she normally would. Simply put: You'll most likely never see Kalli on her best side.

History {told in first person}: I was born on March 18th, 2022. My parents are always telling me how I fell in love with music from a very early stage. Music was one of the few things that could calm me during my frequent tantrums as a baby, and that my first words were a lyric from a favorite song of my parents. So it was no surprise to them when I asked if I could start dancing lessons when I was six. I've been dancing ever since. It helps with my ADHD, which I was diagnosed with not long after I started dancing.
My first few memories are some trivial ones, but I treasure them all the same. I remember my mother taking me over to my baby brother's crib and letting me watch him sleep. Another is of my older brother stealing my toy guitar when I was four. My parents told me it was one of my worst tantrums yet.
I remember, when I was eight, walking into the music store in front of the dance studio, that I saw my first guitar. It was ebony black, and absolutely gorgeous. As soon as my mother and I reached the car to go back home, I asked if I could start guitar lessons. She made sure it was something I was sure of doing, that I would stick with it for several years, and I assured her of all of these things.
I loved my guitar lessons just as much as my dancing lessons, and have yet to ask my mother once if I can quit. My life was good and uneventful for five years. Then, when my brother was fifteen, he got very sick. I remember my mother's extreme worry, especially when my brother got angry. My father tried explaining it all to me and my brother, but I couldn't grasp what he was saying.
My brother had never been this sick, and my parents had never seemed this worried about it, despite the fact they told me everything would be okay. I felt so helpless, I despised not knowing what was happening to my brother. It wasn't until he got better and he explained everything to me that I understood.
My mother had been a werewolf when she was younger, and now my brother was one too. I asked my mother the next day if I would be a werewolf. She hesitated before answering that she didn't know for sure. The next year, my question was answered. I remember waking up one day and feeling way too warm for comfort. My mother asked me what was wrong the second I staggered through the door and into the kitchen. I told her I felt very hot and very bad. She quickly called my father, who had gone out fishing with my younger brother, and told him to keep my younger brother out of the way for a day or so. My older brother came home immediately after Mom had called him.
He stayed with me the whole time, making sure I was content as I could be, and after a few days, I felt myself getting better and my bed getting shorter. I had grown three inches in the span of less than a week. And I grew and inch every month after that. Everyone asked how I had grown so much taller, but I simply told them I had had a huge growth spurt. My brother took me out to the beach a week after my huge fever and explained how I was a werewolf too.
I asked him eagerly if I could turn into one now, and he had smiled and told me how to phase. The pain at first hurt so much, that when I finished, I lay panting on the sand. My brother told me it was normal for it to hurt the first few times, and I tried a few more times until the pain was merely an annoying twinge. Then he explained how other people I knew were now werewolves and how there was a treaty with vampires that used to live here and how they kept all of the other vampires away.
I've been a part of the Pack for two years now, and while some of them may say that they don't like being part wolf, I know that they enjoy the feeling of family around them. And I can't blame them, either.

RP Sample: Just a piece of Kalli at the beach. Basically an intro for her.
Kalli watched the waves in silence, admiring their simple beauty. After awhile, she wondered if the waves got bored. Honestly, going back and forth all day had to be not only tiring, but extremely dull. Sure, they were bound by the laws of gravity, but did they appreciate or mind those rules at all? Thoughts like these ran though the girl’s head until the sun started to set. She watched for awhile, her music only a background noise for once in favor of the waves' naturally soothing sound.
If there was anything Kalli liked more than music, it was the ocean. Unchangeable, and unable for man to tame. She laughed at the irony of her sudden revelation. Man – the most intelligent sentient beings known - couldn’t control the water, but the sun and moon – which were made of gas and rock – could. She shook her head, still smiling.
The light breeze teased her dark hair, which was actually behaving today. She ran her fingers through the unruly curls, and relished the feeling on the salt and sand in them. She slipped her shoes off and stood from her place under a tree to go look for tide pools. The tide was out, so there should be a few of them.
She let her feet skim the ground as she walked, the damp sand getting between her toes, until she reached a small pool no bigger than a dinner plate. The fish darted away as soon as she dipped her fingers in the clear water, but as she held them still for who knew how long, they emerged. Of course, they didn’t go flocking to her fingers, but they ignored them.
Trying to keep her fingers still, Kalli reached into her pocket and pulled out the two slices of bread she had brought down to the beach. She broke off several tiny pieces and scattered them across the surface of the water. The fish flocked to the surface, all trying to get a piece. Kalli smiled sadly at them all. They reminded her of the people that would do anything to get what they wanted. The tiny fish that was unable to get any bread reminded her of the victims of those ruthless people.
She sighed and stood, breaking up the rest of the bread and throwing some to the birds, and the rest to the fish. She didn’t feel like going home just yet, but it was getting dark, and it was sea turtle season and she didn’t want to disturb them. She slipped into the woods, her feet following the trail she had made herself as an alternative to the road. As soon as she was out of sight from anybody that may be walking on the beach, she phased. Phasing had always taken her a long time compared to the rest of the pack, but she didn’t mind too much. As soon as the transformation was finished, she started running.
She may be smaller than the boys, but that just made her all the faster. Her mother had always proudly told her she had inherited it from her. The wind whooshed through her ears, and her nose received hundreds of scents at once. Some pleasant, some disgusting, it enthralled her. The air’s scent started to seem lighter, so she knew she must be nearing the edge of the woods. She phased back, and walked towards the edge, stopping to look up at the first few stars. She smiled softly, and continued her way home.
She could still smell the ocean and forest air, even as she walked in the house.
