Also: although an order has been chosen, you're still welcome to sign up at any time. We're always in need of more people to sing/dance/play/etc. their hearts out, after all. Or to watch.
Club Illusion decides to have an open performance night while the kids are on their trip. No, no, perhaps "open" is too loose of a term -- the club is simply offering spots for unknown artists/bands to perform, but not without holding auditions. As it would have it, the day after the kids arrive is audition day.
Luckily, word travels fast, and people find out fairly quickly; luckier still, the common instruments--drums, a variety of guitars and models, and a piano, for instance--are all available. Starting at five-thirty in the morning and ending at midnight, this might be the kids' one chance at making themselves known to the public. And Club Illusion's a big place, so it's going to mean something. Not that it will shove that into instant fame, but at least it will get them out there.
In the end, a select few will be chosen to perform up to three songs; it will prove whether they can get the crowd interested enough in this small window of time. If the crowd seems to love it, the manager will call you back to the stage after the others have performed. The bands and artists are free to perform their own music or cover someone else's both in the audition and on the stage. Either way, that one song has to exude talent, charisma, and intrigue, lest no one be interested. And they're looking for the next big thing.
Perform your heart out. It may be your only chance.
